Vitamin C
It's the star of the glow. A key active ingredient, vitamin C is taking over our skincare products to give our skin a boost.
An antioxidant, it delays skin aging and boosts cell regeneration for younger-looking skin. Energizing, it improves blood circulation for an even complexion. Radiant, it regulates the production of natural melanin for a healthy glow. A closer look at this radiance-boosting active ingredient.
Its origins
Unlike other active ingredients such as vitamin D or hyaluronic acid, the human body does not naturally synthesize vitamin C. It must be supplied daily and mainly through food. It is found in fruits and vegetables, particularly kiwi, peppers, and citrus fruits. Unfortunately, barely 1/3 of the vitamin C absorbed is intended for our skin (thanks to external aggressions!). We must therefore find alternatives to provide it to our skin...

In cosmetics
Applied directly to the skin, vitamin C is thirty times more active than when taken orally. It is present in its most concentrated form (between 1-20%) and in its purest form. It is therefore included in all our skincare products to enrich them with its benefits: masks, creams, serums. More effective when used as a treatment, it is more highly dosed in serums (between 5 and 15%). The ideal is therefore to apply a serum enriched with vitamin C before your usual routine (after cleansing of course).
